Presentation
of The Scout Lodge Founders Jewel
to
The Kindred Lodges Association
At our March 2006
meeting, W.Bro John Winston, Worshipful Master for
2005/06 presented to the Chairman of the Kindred Lodges Association
(KLA), W.Bro S.G. our first, and sadly departed, Worshipful Masters
Founders Jewel.
The Family of the
Late W.Bro Robin Salter had kindly given permission
for the Jewel, which had been suitably engraved, to be presented to the
KLA by The Scout Lodge. It will eventually be displayed alongside
Jewels from Sister Lodges of the KLA at the new Visitors Centre of
Gilwell Park, the international training and camping centre of the
Scout Association.
Until the KLA Jewels
are permanently housed at Gilwell Park, they are
residing in a display case that is 'touring' KLA festivals and meetings.
The Jewel presentation on March 9th 2006 occured on the 1st Anniversary
of the passing to the Grand Lodge Above of our Founding Master and was
we hope a suitable memorial to a great and sadly missed Brother Mason
and Brother Scout
